GUEST SUITEGO TO:Guest Suite Picture Page
The Guest Suite is in a separate wing of the Mansion, with its own sliding glass door entrance from the Beachside Patio. The suite is 34 feet long and 8 feet wide. It is the oldest part of the house, dating back 50 years. It was completely renovated in 1993, with new insulation, new windows, new wiring, new plumbing, new walls and ceiling, a complete kitchenette, a full bathroom, custom cabinets, and overhead fixtures and ceiling fans. There are built-in phone jacks in the bedroom, the kitchenette, and the bathroom. Everything is handicapped accessible. Kitchen appliances, phones, sinks -- everything is usable from a wheel chair. The East wall of the Guest bedroom has a window to take advantage of the fact that it is only about three feet from the top of the dune. You can look from that window almost straight down onto the beach about 17 feet below. Of course, you cannot build so close the beach now. The Mansion enjoys the privilege of a "grandfather clause" and thus views unobtainable in a new or recent home. On the North wall is a window through which you have an unobstructed view of Cape Canaveral. The previous resident used to sit in her wheel chair and watch the launches through that window. The South wall has three windows as well as the double sliding glass door. Each has an ocean view. The kitchenette has a two-burner gas stove, a small refrigerator, a microwave, a toaster oven, a sink, and a coffee maker. The Guest Suite is wired for cable TV.
