GRAND ENTRY HALLGO TO:Grand Entry Hall Picture Page
The Grand Entry Hall is entered from the front door on the South side of the Mansion. The front door is massive, solid wood, with stained glass windows on either side. You enter onto the brick-red Spanish quarry tile floor into the two-story-high Grand Entry Hall. In front of you is the curved Grand Staircase. Above, three chandeliers are reflected in a mirrored wall behind the stairs. The custom woodwork of the staircase is exquisite. The stair treads are carpeted with the same champagne-colored carpet that adorns the rest of the house. It is a textured combination of Berber and plush in a basket-weave pattern, both luxurious and practical. Under the stairs, hidden by a mirrored door, is a storage closet. To the left is the arched entry to the sunken Living Room. And to the right, another arched entry leads to the Dining Room. Already from the Grand Entry Hall the ocean is visible beyond the Dining Room.
