Main Points of the Bowman2000 Campaign

Bob Bowman was the first presidential candidate officially recognized by the Reform Party, and for several weeks was the only one. Central to his campaign are:

(1) electoral reform (severing the connection between big money and political power),

(2) international trade reform (renouncing NAFTA, GATT, and the WTO),

(3) health care reform ( a doctor-run single-payer national health system),

(4) structural reform (ending the domination of society by transnational corporations and banks),

(5) economic reform (allowing workers to keep more of the wealth they create),

(6) foreign relations reform (freeing the American people from the threat of nuclear terrorism by a return to a Constitutional foreign policy which refuses to go to war for the financial interests of the wealthy few),

(7) education reform (restricting government’s role to assuring that all schools are adequately funded; giving control of schools to parents and teachers; learning from success of private schools; emphasizing discipline),

(8) tax reform (ending payroll taxes; shifting burden from workers and small businesses to giant multinationals who now pay no taxes),

(9) banking reform (ending ability of Fed to put the interests of member banks and bondholders above the interests of the people), and

(10) industrial reform (ending corporate welfare to polluters and other industries acting against the common good; adopting policies promoting clean industry, sustainable agriculture, invention, and entrepreneurs.

If you want reform, vote REFORM, ... vote Bowman in 2000.
